    Mage
    Med
    Mining
    Smithing
    Music
    Provo
    Tailoring

Then you can rock both BODs, BS / EV down elementals, and provo / mage for spawns... which, with a decent instrument, you can get your dragon leather.

Enjoying this thread so here's my one template...

    Parry dexxer w/ 100/25/100
    Swords
    Tact
    Anat
    Heal
    Parry
    Resist
LJ (I realize LJ and Parry don't mix well but there is a strategy to it)

This tank like build, to me, is versitale. Allows me to walk into the thickest of mobs, kill any mini-boss, overworld events, decent gph, pvp would suck but still doable (stats balance would help)

What else could a Sosarian ask for? (other than recall but with the new moongates - np)

Resisting spells is missing in your build in my view. If you're going against monsters without bard skills or magic reflect you will be hurt...

Yeah I'd second this method, although the permanent skills would be taming and magery, vet/lore are easily retrained, but with 500 points to play around with there's anything from provoke tamer for champs/events/instances for crowd control and damage, down to melee tamer for some fun in the field or again with the amib/scroll runs.
The need for slayers for a lot of farming is why I prefer the tamer method for pvm, just saves the hassle of tracking them down

Yeah, hard to beat a stable of blessed weapons.

... would spend my welfare plat overnight time training w/e pets died that day. HOWEVER, sometimes turning into a tamer/dexxer would be a fun change.

How does the plat factor into training the pet?

In my scenario, the platinum system is in place like it is here. Thus, when idle yet in game you accumulate platinum coins which are paid out at the end of the month.
