Plats for Crafting/Gathering

Aye, tiss a wee bit over the top. I woke up this morning, head feeling like 10 tons of bricks, and my mind was clouded like a hurricane.

You already get plats just for logging in the game and playing...hell, why not just put a vendor up at every bank that hands out free plat to everyone...why not just give everyone a free ethy while we're at it too.

Makes me wonder if Freakzilla considers monster plat drops in this statement? I get from this logic that plat drops should be taken out of game since one needs to be logged into game to fight monsters. Personally I find it exciting to find a plat on something. A nice little surprise when it happens, similar to getting a fur .

I like the idea of plat drops in game and feel it would be nice to get them while lumber jacking or mining as well.

The only reason I would be against resource gathering dropping platinum, is that it is so low risk. Yeah you could set it to be 1/2000 or 1/2billion, but there still is very low to non-existent risk to gathering ore or lumber.

Where farming creatures and treasure hunting can go wrong, resource gathering most likely will not.

Westra, I enjoy finding plat on mobs, sea serpents, etc... as well. I wrote that with a very nice hangover, and it wasn't meant to belittle someones idea or suggestion. I had a cloudy brain and was thinking to myself....ffs, we need to fix the issues with AR and ineffective GM weps, etc., before we start asking for more perks. For the record, I like plat too, and if you can get it from resource farming, then I am for that.

No worries Freakzilla, I didn't mean to sound snotty either. I tend to write in a kind of matter-of-fact style, and sometimes it doesn't read as friendly as I intended the remark to be.
