Followup information. If you switch off the macro tab when this happens then back to the macro tab it seems to start displaying the current macro step again. (Thanks JohnM!)
Anyone else getting frequent hangs on the latest version? For a long time it worked fine, but now it hangs constantly, and if I kill razor in the task manager the game ui becomes "unhung" and I can move around but the game is no longer syncing with the server. This seems to happen most frequently when I run fishing bots. Don't know if a recent windows update caused it or something else.
I haven't had that specific issue, but I have (and others) have reported locking up sometimes when logging in and/or switching characters. This issue is still being researched, but in most likely related to some of the core changes made in the last version. Feel free to download the previous version and see if you still have an issue. If you're not already, be sure Razor is ran with WinXP SP2 in admin mode.
Quick, I am still on 1.5.0.16 and I have experienced this "lockup" a few times. It is very rare, but it's always happened inside my house (fortunately) so it probably does happen upon logging in/out. I take a couple steps and I freeze in place, sort of like a world save. The Razor window is then totally gone/invisible. UO client is unresponsive. Character is still there (I can see them standing there with another character). I have to close the UO client and log in again.
i get the lockups - it seems to lockup less if I use different profiles for each character, but it still locks up on me.
I had to revert to .16. .17 would literally hang up every time I switched chars, and about 60 percent of the time that I went through a moongate. No bueno.
I'm on the latest version and only get hangs once in a while logging in(had this issue on all versions of razor). Never lock up once I'm in game.
Downloaded latest version on new laptop. Double Click Razor Asks to allow to make changes to the system (Admin) Never loads after that
@midgetbob just brainstorming here...did you extract all the .zip file contents (so it's a regular folder) and did you right click the .exe file and set compatibility to windows XP SP2 and run as administrator? If yes, right click the .exe and see if there is some option to "unblock" it from running (see below example) If you don't see anything like that it could be your antivirus, and obviously restart your PC and try again if you haven't. ETA
I found when dragging the .exe from my D: drive to my desktop, the executable from the desktop started looking for the program in the C: drive instead of the D: where it originated. To fix this, you have to right click the .exe and select create shortcut and then put it on the desktop. I don't recall having to do it in that order before, but *shrug* it's been awhile since I had to reinstall UO / Razor.
Sorry if this is a repeat, but I'm not getting the MIBS to show up on my razor map. I have capture MIB location checked and when I open one I get a razor message that its captured, but its not showing up on the map anywhere. Is this something I'm missing or is it a bug. Thanks in advance South.
@Southpaw Hey dude. That MIB on the map feature is part of JMap/JBars which should be considered unsupported and has been that way for quite a while unfortunately. It used to work with only minor bugs, if you've been encountering new problems with that map system; I'd be interested to know what version didn't have the problem. Theres another shard that uses a version of this razor; not sure how or why but it is hyper broken for them. I can see they changed some datafiles, but there's definitely a version where some code related problem was introduced. I, of course, cant fix that now. So yeah, do you know when previously working features became broken?
Thanks Jimmy for your reply. I have no previous experience with it only tried it the one time and couldn't get it to work.I was just making sure I wasn't doing something wrong. Thanks again for taking time to clear that up for me. Stay safe and have a good one my friend. South
Np. Although this probably won't fix it, here's some quick things to try regarding ensuring you have the files needed: MIBPins.csv You should always have this file, same location as all other .csv files for map. In theory it will create itself if missing, but check that. After you ensure that file exists and you open a MiB, get confirmation in Razor. If it still fails, check the MIBPins.csv file, is it empty? Marker Files You should have a directory with all the marker image files, a nice collection of other users work and my own. The important one here is Mib.cur Like so: Don't expect it to work on Apple products The system as it stands in that version is heavily reliant upon Microsoft .dll files that there is no solution to. It can't load the .cur files. In an alternate reality I already released a true multi-platform solution. Divine Intervention Pray, offer sacrifice to, or, invoke curses from your preferred deity to fix the new bug or cause ill will upon the origins of the new problem. I hope it works for you, it's a great thing and was an initial challenge in building it. Having thousands of MiB's + everything else running smooth without any GPU / using old WinForms drawing was an achievement I am still proud of I forget who it was that joked at me with it originally: "I like to do 2k MiB's at a time". Totally did it tho GL!
Thank you very much. I will go through the files and see if all those are there. Thanks again, South.
