Runic Weapon Auction (Agapite and Verite)

I should remind everyone that this is an auction and this auction is going to proceed as per usual. You may buyout what you want or bid, and what you do with the item you win is your business, but please let's bring the focus back to the weapons.

What's more disgusting is how many people say these things are disgusting when there's probably a very small number of players who would not have A) Looted the place if they gained illicit access and B) taken everything on site in an IDOC and sold it for the most gold they could get.

Unlike some of you who might not have scruples at all, I have the utmost respect for Jupiter and what he does for the shard and what VoP means here. Don't lump me in with the rest of the trash who care more about pixels than life itself. I can always make more cash, I don't have to stoop to profiteering off of what was so recently donated in good faith by the community at large.

In case you weren't paying attention fooka (seems obvious), I do not use superlatives lightly. Hence the part about "very small number". If you are choosing to feel lumped in with the VAST majority who would loot a house and sell IDOC loot for top coin, that's your guilty conscience or misinterpretation of what I said.
I'm the asshole that finds homeowners and teaches them about security instead of picking them clean. I'm the same guy who, with a friend or two, actually helped usher Jupiter in the door here. I would not feel out of line in saying that the ONLY thing Jupiter would care about in this situation is that those who donated, saw their donations get picked up and turned around for profit by an unrelated party. Items were donated by the very wealthy to fill a void left by a theft. The "community at large" wasn't greatly involved in that but I suppose the story can be spun however one might see fit. Jupiter has never cared (much, if at all) about pixel value, only character value, that I've known. I've known him for years and I don't think he would care about anything other than his friends feeling like their contributions were lost so easily.

It's no big deal and no one should be making such a big deal of it. Items came, went, came again and went again. You think Jupiter will do anything other than what elhorno said in IRC earlier? That being, have an adventure to congratulate Bestial on his score.

tl;dr I can only assume it's some feeble attempt at trying to parlay your apathy into some attack on me, which is a common theme of yours when someone takes offense at your misguided views and snap judgement. So instead of bothering with a response to you I will say this. I reiterate that I think that the situation is disgusting and sad. Sad that Jupiter did let the armory of Paws fall and it was a total loss for the VoP guild. I'm sure that they will be able to recover and I am more than willing to assist in any way that I can. Disgusting in that a reasonable offer appears to have been made to try to re-secure the goods for the pawsmen but greed has prevailed here. That's just part of the game, but I don't have to congratulate anyone on it.

Guys, enough. For real. A reasonable offer was made in public and accepted in public. In private, however, this offer was cancelled and I was told to go fuck myself, both in other words and in those exact words. You've had your opportunities to cry and gnash your teeth, now let's put on the big boy pants.

It's a no brainer.

Nothing against Bestial he earned it fair and square. It doesn't really matter who he is. it could have all decayed on the ground. We can't expect him to give it back. Besides, paws is not as active right at the moment and can barely make use of it. We'll do it again when that changes.

This was a gesture to show VoP that we appreciated what they bring to the server. Nothing about that has changed. In hindsight it should have probably been gifted to PS! and VoP equally.

Let's not dwell on it. Fooka i appreciate your defensiveness of Paws (and to everyone else.) Don't worry about Blaise. If anyone wants to donate something - consider donating to Krake and his guild PS!. Let's not harass Bestial. These items were meant to be used and lost. It's fine that they didn't sit locked up in some house unused. Let them be used, let this sale carry on.

fooka, I wasn't attacking you and if you think that's really a common theme of mine, you're just another person with terrible English comprehension. You jumped to some conclusion that I was attacking you in the first comment you quoted of mine because you're either inept or just misread what I said in the first place. I'd like to think it's the latter but go ahead and keep carrying on like this and I'll be most certain it's the former. Get this shit, and try not to let your head explode over it: I like conversation and it's not my fault if people think my differing opinions are attacks. I do not make verbal attacks without warrant or I feel the want to make a rebuttal of an attack that has come my way.


Bestial, I'm actually defending your right to ask for whatever the hell you see fit. I did say in IRC that 6m sounds like a gouging, but that's about it. People seem to think that because Jupiter is the RP Saint of UOR, that you should bend over backward and not make this the best damn score you're likely to get for a while. That said, not making a deal is probably not going to net you many friends in the SL crowd but take it from me, it's nothing to worry about.

Noone is going to target Bestial over this. We don't know who his characters are and we don't intend to find out. Blaise if you want to do your usual shit just find a different thread or start a new one. This doesn't have to be another Blaise vs shadowlords thing. It's already everywhere else on the forum. There's no reason to shit up this guy's thread. Let it get back on track.

6 mil was the first number dropped, a number that I heard Xeg herself say they were worth the day she discovered they were in my possession. It was rejected with no counter offer. The weapons are available for sale, either in bits and pieces or the whole lot (minus what was already sold). Make me your offer and I will consider it. I am not looking to get every last gold coin out of these weapons. A reasonable, but large, offer will surely take them.
