I'm just going off the idea that we have different hues of metal if ya want different hued armour. Haven't checked here yet, but I can remember in th past the armoursmiths selling iron armour with a slightly different tint to it from city to city.
I hear ya. I'm just going off of "We have different hues of leather, yet we have leather dye tubs with a UOR friendly palette. Why not show the same love to us walking tanks?" All the NPC armor is plain iron by RunUO default as far as I'm aware.
Even though I previously stated that I would prefer gardening rewards to be purely deco - I could definitely see the appeal behind Tribal Kin Paint for RP purposes (Also for Barracoon!).
HA! Y'know, with the amount of cbd's I've flipped you'd of thought I'd of remembered about the leather tubs.... Coming around on the paint idea.
With all the era accuracy in mind, the servers flooded with bizarre platinum items in peoples houses you wouldn't usually have seen on a renaissance server, i don't see how it would hurt?
I think this would be a really cool system to have. I especially like the idea of some of the plants making metal armor "dye kits" for the RP crowd. I'm also behind the notion that the systems should not produce anything that would be of great benefit in PvP. I would take it a step further and say that the plant bowls and seeds should be a gold sink opportunity. Have larger pots needed for better plants, and certain types of pots could make plants grow faster or have a better chance of producing a seed or mutation. The amount of fertile dirt necessary should also correlate to the usefulness/size of the plant (just thinking of the newbs farming earth eles here). Small plants could require 50 dirt, larger plants up to 1k.
I like the idea of gardening and feel it would add to the server play..agree with most of the statements thus far. Not sure about "painting" characters....seems like that would mean a lot of coding. I remember something about the "ant holes" and having to do a mini type quest thing to give items to the queen and getting a seed. ( not sure if this is correct, been so long) But possibly not add the ants. Glad to hear that "gardening" is under consideration.... I would love to have more "yellow" plants. Add a lot of color to the grayness of so many of the home styles. Since the term was used here, would like to ask, why are neon colors and such considered Trammel....Seen lot of pkers back in the day using them? Thanks all Westra
I would also very much like for gardening as mentioned by the original poster to be implemented here. I love the plant breeding and growing huge gardens. Also, growing plants need a lot of potions.. which will increase demand to those who sell potions. This will give a boost to alchemists that sell potions.
Looks like everybody wants gardening. Maybe we can implement things slowly? Telamon pleeeeeeaaaaasssee
I'm definitely in favor of new deco items. Gardening came around long after my departure from UO and I'm always interested in adding something new to my UOR resume! +1 for plants!
