Haven't done it here but in the yesterlands I just had a book marked with locations of daily rares and just tried my luck whenever the mood struck. The more often you do it the more likely you are to find one.
Yeah, makes sense, was just curious if I missed some cool strategy or something. With only about 10 rares of interest, I will have a much lower hit rate in terms of rares per check. But I'll also spend less time and less recall regs!
I pour through each one between 1-5 times per day, my range of luck varies on finding them. I burn through 1000's of recall regs finding Rares. My opinion is, it is totally worth the Regs, especially when you get your name listed for either the Credit or the Confirmation.
Hah, good to hear. I like a level playing field. Just figured I'd ask, since in other areas of the game I've often been blown away by some clever strategies that are common knowledge to some and unknown to others.
Well, you'll want to check the item graphs as well and see if you can estimate when the item will spawn again. It won't make sense to check it a few times a day if it just spawned yesterday and won't spawn again for a couple of weeks.
Well speak of the devil. Just picked up the "Hay" in Serpent's Hold Stables. First rare I have ever picked up in nearly 15 years of UO. And thus begins the "stable room" of my house!

Hmmm... I think ReZon's rune does not go near there. When I used the rune, it put me just south of a building. Are there two in Buc's?
Its the same spot as in the rune book, the Wash House is just a tile or two out of this picture. You can see the corner of the building next to my telekinesis spell.
