He's also tried to scam me on a trade made via IRC. I was gonna buy an item and he showed up with a look-a-like item, I guess hoping I wouldn't click on it. When I called him on his shit he said something to the effect of "haha I had to try" and ran off.
If I could remember his character's name I'd post it but this was months ago.

Maybe. If I'm running an auction I prepare for an outcome like this and at least take a second to take a screenshot or whatever, at least as a courtesy to other bidders. 24 hours have passed since the sale and it looks like the thread has been abandoned by OP. Screw proof, just don't waste peoples time.

To the chronic malcontent: The forum members who have posted in this thread have no authority to ban anyone. All we can do is chastise. And we have come to the same conclusion you have, that he is an idiot and a scammer. We witnessed this during the tamer quest debacle and have heard player x's account. I do not personally think the standard of "innocence until proven guilty" is necessary to apply when all we are doing is criticizing his supposed behavior on the forums.
I would assume if action were to be taken, the GM with that power would look into the matter more to confirm.
