FINALLY! 8 hours of fishing later and...

With some luck and guile I was able to escape from my blockaded ship and found a healer in the coastal town of Vesper. With the gainful help of a friend I conscripted a new ship I dubbed the "Corsairs Desire". Soon after setting out off from the docks I encountered a treacherous foe. My cold hands nearly lost their grip on my fishing pole as both myself and the ship lurched suddenly forward. From the depths a trio of vile green appendages rose from the dark waters whipping about wildly. A Kraken! After an intense battle I stood peering over the port side of the ship at the corpse. Entangled on an old net which had somehow found its way upon the Kraken's form I found an ancient purple scroll.

As the sun began to set on the western horizon I realized that today had been an extraordinary adventure full of perils and triumphs. I was exhausted and the thought of a warm bed in a port city called to me like the siren song of the ocean itself. As lost in thought as I was I didn't notice the sleek silver form that suddenly jumped in my boats wake. It rapidly gained on my vessel like living quicksilver. Looking off the starboard bow I saw that it was one of the few friendly creatures that I had come across in my days of seafaring, a dolphin.

"If I were to give you some of this fish, would you lead me to the nearest port?" I asked it on a whim. It seemed to intrinsically understand my request and lept from the sea doing a small somersault in the air. I took that as it's agreeing to the deal and producing some fish from the hatch I tossed some into its eagerly awaiting toothy maw.

"Ok friend show me the way."
