Wondered who's completed with two characters or less? Have Tame Quest Iron Man trophies been awarded @Chris? Heard Vella did but I wasn't sure if that was with 2 or 3 tamers. Thinking of taking another crack at it after I revamp one of my tamers. Azmodane aka Ferrari and I on Mr Brownstone attempted it once (awhile ago), made it to the boss rabbit and ran out of time. At least we got a mask drop out of it.
I did it with Elhorno. He used a disco/tamer. I used a LJ dexxer with hiding to single pull mobs. It really wasn't that difficult, and when we ran it none of the monsters were prone to slayers, so I used a runic. But now all Slayers are working properly inside. So your damage potential is way higher to go faster.
Congrats to you guys. Thanks for the info Lutz. What we ran into when pulling tamer boss adds is, they were recalled back to their master. Did you repull each time? We tried taking them a further distance from the boss but they were always recalled back. Maybe our approach was wrong.
Ya we would pull them just a short enough distance to burst as much dmg as we could, until they teleported back. The good thing is, only the Ophidian queen and Obsidian Garg are healing bosses, so as long as you grab any other one and dmg till they tele, when they come back, their health will be the same, so the goal was kill everything except the "healing" boss + main boss then when it was just 2 left dbl tank one dragon on each. This is were the disco becomes a must. With being able to use slayers now, bosses should go down super fast. In my opinion its almost a must to have some sort of melee char, weather its a tamer/dex or pure because there dmg is just to important because pets do such low dmg to boss monsters. Most of the time for us was used while separating the spawn from the beast tamer, and kiting the final bunny boss.
Gideon and I took it down as well. Our method was pretty similar to Lutz. We used an eval tamer (I think) and a quasi-dexer tamer that had a lot of room for optimization (that was me). Basically our assumption going in was survival would be more important than damage output. We finished with plenty of time to spare, and the dexxer didn't have Anatomy, let alone LJ. I used a valorite runic short spear. I would say it was because slayers didn't work at the time (apparently), but mostly it was because I didn't own any slayers. For the bunny boss, try and get it near a cliff. When he spawns adds, a bunch will be up on the cliff, unable to get down, making things much more manageable. Also, keep moving and kiting, and pulling little bunnies away. The adds that spawn may not aggro in time, or may lose aggro.
