Why is vendoring dead?

IF there was to be a market outside of Minoc, you would want it to be in the guard zone otherwise it will be the biggest hot spot to PK.
...stealthed and waiting to see 'Vendor Buy' and then vendor confirming the purchase.... YOU ARE DEAD

but buying a vendor hire from an NPC in town would place your vendor/gypsy to wonder an area or randomly place it but keep the hire contract to a maximum number of days / weeks per year removing the monopoly that would be given to the richest players buying the best spots and keeping them for ever.

I am sure a lot of people will hate the idea above, mainly because they are the ones that would gain if it were to be the opposite.
