EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: In an attempt to help give back to the taming community while also helping new players/tamers get their feet wet with taming, I am implementing a new discount for all my NIGHTMARE sales from here on out. This discount will NOT stack with the buy one get one limited time deal I'm currently offering. That deal will end soon but what follows in green text is permanent. Before I address the nice little discount I will be offering, I want to explain what I mean by 'new tamers'. A new tamer, as defined by this deal, is any tamer who currently does NOT have a mare yet but has recently surpassed the threshold required to be able to accept a nightmare trade (low 90's Animal Taming with GM Animal Lore I believe, confirmation would be great as I do not know the exact number). If you are not a new player but your tamer is in fact new, you still qualify. The deal is as follows: The price on ANY of my lower quality nightmares - valued at 20k or less - will now be 50% OFF to you if you meet the requirements above as being a new tamer. It's as simple as that! Any mare higher than 21k will remain that price regardless of your tamer's tenure here on UOR. All you have to do is message me in IRC or post here in this thread. Say you're a new tamer, as well as which beast you want to claim and I will reward you your discount. This applies to your FIRST mare. Not your 4th, 5th or 27th mare that you accidentally got killed at Titans. I'm nice but I'm not that nice! You could argue that the requirements for this discount are pretty lax and seem easy to fake, and you'd be completely right in that assessment. The bottom line here for me is if you want to cheat the system and lie to me for a measly 10k off a mare, so be it, but I will gladly have the wool pulled over my eyes 100 times in a row as long as on that 101st time the buyer is genuinely grateful and appreciates the discount. Taming is a great skill in UO and it's either loved or hated, as we all know. There's no shortness of opinion when it comes to this skill. However, regardless of if it's for the very first time or if it's just you getting back in the saddle after a 15 year hiatus, riding that beautiful, POWERFUL black beauty for the first time is absolutely unrivaled. I just really want to help players reach that first HUGE taming plateau and feel the excitement that comes along with it when they might not have otherwise been able to afford it. Bump for the new lineup of very good stat dragons at reasonable rates for their rarity. Price will inevitably go down but is it worth it to wait on a beast like the ones listed above? Especially when you know they're worth every dime they're listed for. All it takes is one buyer to realise that and your prized tame is out the window for good. Don't delay - Buy these great quality dragons while they last!
