I enjoy the anniversary house decoration contests but I wanted to create a thread for people to share their ongoing projects. By all means, save the big reveal for the contest itself but I know people here and there enjoy sharing what they have created, whether it was a small room or they just don't want to wait months to share everything they have created. One of the biggest parts of UO for me personally has always been the ability to own a house and then the extensive ability to organize it and decorate it however I want and in an endless amount of ways. Post small or big projects that you've taken pride in. Take notes how others might organize their houses in the practical ways, unpractical or maybe you'll learn how to do something new in the ways of the Z-Axis tricks. The type of deco I go for is to have it functional and to look clean. Sometimes I'll create something just for show, but for the most part, I'm creating it to be used. I love organization. For my slayers, I use the wooden chests for instruments of that type and the gold metal chests are for the weapons.
That slayer organisation is a straight up boner jam. Super nice my dude! I'm also a fan of a functional and clean houses. It's like a naturalist deco vibe. I'll have to take some snaps when I get home to post in here, rad thread!
Trying to actually live in a fort is a deco person's nightmare, sheesh! I have almost completely stocked my belongings into the 1st floor rooms. Years of holiday items/trammy clothing/bod setups/slayers/instance ironman rooms etc is tough to do. I try to come up with unorthodox ways to decorate, when i actually get around to it. Hate copying peeps! Here's the progress bits so far:
@Duke Cannon really like how you did the chests might steal that idea from you. Been in a idea block for my next deco idea, so maybe this thread will inspire
I no longer own this place and never got around to finishing this off but this was the start on my whisky cellar.
I knew I wanted to dye some pedestals similar to sandstone hue but it wasn't quite matching up for someone being really picky. So decided to try some orange hues on marble tables and peds and came out completely satisfied with what I discovered while messing around on test. Not the finished product but quite happy we have test center.
