    That message might appear because...

    1. You actually are too far away from what you are provoking.
    2. The monsters you were provoking might be dead or gone. (from time to time I find that I need to re-target the monsters by right clicking on "absolute target" --> "re-target"

If this doesn't work, I'll need to see a screen shot of where you are standing and where the two mobs are.

I think "that is too far away" might happen when you break your instrument and haven't clicked a new one. Add clicking an instrument by type in your macro see if that helps.

Hence why my macro I shared has the "double click instrument by type" line.

This is really key. I've had a few times where I come back and was like why didn't my Provo go up and it was due to a broken instrument and not having that line in the macro.

    thank you all guys!

The solution was basically what milky said.
Since I already got musicianship to 100, I removed the line from the macro, so the macro doesn't use that much my instruments anymore and hopefully they last longer (I don't know if this is accurate).
I had to use once a lute in my bag and it worked again :)

this is where I am raising provo

FYI just playing the instrument doesn't wear it down at all.

So you can GM music off of one instrument?

This is a somewhat related question since we are discussing bard skills, but is there a similar way to raise enticement/disco? My music and provo are almost GM but disco is at 27 as it seems any macro I try is limited since the effects last awhile. Can you set up a macro that will auto target switch to a non-discoed mob, say, at a stable or something?

Hello and welcome to our world.

Couple of hints (general, not music) Seems you will soon be facing the big bad world.

Regular rune books are not blessed here, keep them in bank. Boat and house keys are not blessed.

Build your resisting magic spells up, to around 40ish. Than keep eye on forum thread player run events. Some of our guilds here will run what is called "Resist Parties" Fantastic way to gm spell resist. When one is being hosted, they will say all the information needed.

You can use more than one client here at a time, so have one at Resist Party, can either be macroing other or run around the world.

If you are around West Brit, come visit WispFelt Village. Located right above West Brit Cross roads in the Large un-forested area. Have many public houses, and a large rune library. You'll know you are in the Village by the little trees on the porches. Players are welcome to use any of them. I just ask that you commit no violence while in the village.

Our player community is great here, our staff wonderful.

Thank you for the tips to us newbs @newme. I was already alerted to one of the "Resist Parties" by the Project Sanctuary peeps and GMd a character over the weekend.

In my ten days I can say the player community here does seem really good. I actually haven't interacted with anyone other than a couple of house unlocks for training in teh game yet, heh, but have been well helped in the forums and in IRC.

    thank you newme! :)
so I can't make my keys blessed even with a keyring, right? I'll be careful with that

I'm still at ocllo, but I'll pay a visit to WispFelt as soon as I travel through the moongate!
