Hi, I was thinking about UO from a long time ago and was looking around the internet and found this page. Is there a cost involved to play on this server? Is this server crowded? Any hints or tops about the rules here. Thanks.
Tiggis- First and foremost: Welcome! You have stumbled on what is, in my opinion, one of the best UO FREEshards available. This server costs nothing save for a connection to the internet. Further, this is probably one of two of the most populated servers that there is, however, Britannia still has open plots to place houses. I think the server could use a couple hundred more players, but you can still easily find people to play with and guilds to run with. The staff here is very attentive and creates unique events all the time. Other Fun Stuff: - PvP Tournaments every Friday - BOD System - Champ Spawns - Capture the Flag - Balanced Economy (Or as good as they can make it) - Unique House Designs (ie: Fortress, Large Keep) I am absolutely sure that other forum members will add more.
The only cost to playing here is your life! You will get sucked in and before you know it you will be addicted. The server has a very healthy population which is steadily growing. You can find people at most banks, the usual suspects (WBB, EBB, Ocllo, Magnicia, Moonglow) are always busy but not overcrowded. You can farm for a while before seeing reds but they do eventually come. Hail Tiggis! I dare say you will find release from your crippling UO nostalgia here. In addition too all previously mentioned qualities of this server, there is also a dedicated and skilled staff here that is extremely rare to find. They continue to improve the server and assist the community a lot. One other significant item to mention is the ethos that the staff holds of UOR being completely free of any "pay for perks" now and in the future. This provides everyone equal opportunity to develope in the game and it allowes for a true and healthy game economy. Not to mention this being a grand act of generosity on part of the staff. Oh yeah, and there is no Trammel!

Welcome to the Renaissance of Ultima Online! It's second life, better than the first time around even! Only difference is we're all a lot older now. haha
Welcome. Be prepared to die if you leave town. Be prepared to be robbed or blown up if you go AFK in town for more than a few minutes. Knowing the dangers before you begin will help you play longer. Be prepared!
((typing on my phone so my grammer and punctuation will be terrible)) tiggis, ive been here approximately 5days now. closest experience i have found to the old days. shard is free to play though they do accept donations which go towards the bettering of the shard. i love it here and i wpuld recommend iy to anyone!

Just to clarify all donations go towards advertising the shard to attract new players. The cost of running the shard is generously covered by Chris.
