Im still waiting for a copy of the Qamrasutra to hit the black market hahah
Dear Clever Tamer,
Your placement of a sheep named "Yewife" in each of the Inn rooms of the Abbey did not go unnoticed.
Your contribution was appreciated and the freshly-butchered mutton will be distributed to the poor of Yew shortly!
An announcement is posted on the message board at Empath Abbey:
Thank you for your generous offer and your trust! I will uphold justice and law in good faith as a Yew citizen!
An new announcement is posted on the message board at Empath Abbey:
I don't think I can really articulate how happy it makes me to see newer players joining Yew as a result of the events surrounding the shrine this past weekend.
The Shrine of Justice has been corrupted! I will be leading the expedition to cleanse it and I hope to see Yew there!
I wish one of these could be scheduled a lil earlier!
I will be somewhat swamped in RL for the next few weeks. I will be in training and testing until February 20th, so I will only be semi-active during this time.
However, I would still like to hold a charity event at the Abbey on February 14th. The Abbey symbolizes the Principle of Love and is the traditional home of the Candle of Love and the Eternal Flame of Love, so we can't ignore this holiday no matter how much I may dislike it in RL. Since I had hoped to hold a Winter Clothing Drive and Soup Kitchen event, this seems like the perfect time and place for it. So save up your low/mid-level random magic armor until then, please! GM craftsmen may wish to donate exceptional armor for the event as well. All donations/drops of any material are welcome, really.
I would like to encourage everyone to participate in this, not just citizens of Yew. On February 14th, clear out your bank box and drop armor INSIDE the bank at Empath Abbey for other "poor" (new-ish) players to pick up. At random times throughout the day, I will drop several items around the Abbey and place bowls of soup and stew on the tables.
I already have a rather large collection of armor to donate, so if anyone has a GM Item ID alt, please contact me so we can arrange a time before the event to get some of this armor identified. Items need not be identified, but I think it would be a nice courtesy to extend.
Yes, there will certainly be people who will exploit this event, but we will still rely on the honor system and ask that people only take what they will actually use and leave the rest for others.
Feel free to offer input on how to improve this event. As the date draws closer and details become more solid, I will post an announcement in the Player Run Events forum.
Let us show Yew some Love!
...ok, that's a lousy name for the event, but you get the idea!
Edit - 2/14/17 Due to the theft of the donations, this event has been cancelled. No plans exist yet to reschedule.
Great idea Antos, i"m sure I can dig up some junk I can drop off. Perhaps I'll donate some stew from the tavern!
Antos, as a man who abides by the virtues and holds them in great esteem... do NOT allow Paddy to provide stew for your event.
Let me guess... Mushroom stew? With extra "herbs" and spices?
It is more of an issue with questionable "meat", supplied by one Syphilis Jack...
Got GM ID & Arms Lore - count me in!
Food is food.
I want Yew...
*points finger sternly*
...to aid in tonight's Shrine Reclamation!
I expect to see Yew there!
Sire, we are on a brink of war with Brigand!
OCT declared war and are calling for our help! We should join them as of Brigand's deeds are getting out of hand and require immediate actions. @Bayara and her troops should not have the advantage by gathering allies. We must act now and suppress that monstrous alliance in infancy!
