Many thanks to Treasureman for his generous donations to the Fish Tourneys!!!

Note: There are other prizes aside from those above therefore I suggest posting everything you catch.
Note2: Tournament time when you can catch fish dated 11/14/2016 has shown to be based on US Eastern time.
Unless this has been changed, I assume it to still be true.

Why the beaver? The November full moon is regarded as the Beaver Moon because it falls at a time of year when American settlers trapped beavers ahead of winter.
The full moon on November 14th will be the closest full moon to Earth since 1948. The full moon won’t come this close to Earth again until November 25, 2034.
Here is a link with more info: http://www.space.com/34676-closest-supermoon-since-1948-surprising-facts.html

    Participating is easy!!!
Post a screenshot of your catch in this thread.
    Big Fish datestamp must 11/14/2016
Winning fish will be verified ingame so keep fish until end of tourney and don't mount.
Mounting a fish will remove the datestamp.

    Rules:
    * The tournament will on Monday November 14th, 2016. All fish weighed in must have a datestamp on that date. (Note: datestamp is based on UOR time, US Eastern, -5 UTC)
    * Prizes will be distributed the following week.
    * Fish weighed in will be credited to the angler, not who turns. Anyone can submit fish for any angler. Angler must be present to claim winnings.
    * Use as many fishers as you like. Again, fish is credited to angler marked on fish. (some players use more than 1 fisher)
    * An angler can only place 1 fish in biggest and smallest categories. For example, Fisher X might have a 10 stone and a 12 stone fish however only the 10 stone will be credited in the smallest category. In addition, Fisher X can also place in biggest with a 199 stone fish.
    * No sign up required! Simply post a screen shot of your catch but keep it for prize reward and... DO NOT MOUNT FISH. Mounting a fish will erase datestamp. Fish will need to be verified ingame to collect your prize. Only fish weight will only be recorded. You keep your catch.
    * Anglers tied will split the prizes of the two respective places. For example, Anglers tied for 2nd place will split the winnings for 2nd and 3rd place.

    Notes on Fishing:
Double-click on a fishing pole, then click on a body of water. If successful, you will catch a fish. You might catch something more interesting than a fish. Success with this skill also depends on the availability of fish in that specific area.
0-65 - On land you will fish up Magic Fish, and Normal Fish.
80+ - Sea Serpents (No SoS Message), Special Fishing Nets.
90+ - Treasure Maps 100 - Messages in a Bottle (aka MIB) / Waterstained SoS Message
95+ - You can reel in Big Fish which can be used to make Trophies via Taxidermy Kits.
You can get to 100 skill/Grandmaster fishing from land and monsters will never spawn when fishing from land.
Once you have attained 95+ fishing, acquire a boat. They are player-made (check player vendors, forums, or IRC). You will need a boat to get offshore into deep water to catch Big Fish.
Over 98 million in prizes given away in previous tournaments:

I should have been more clear at the top of post. Several players asked on another one day tourney thread and I started to include. Let me put a note up there for clarification. Thanks.

Ahh a great day it was, I was able to steal a free ride aboard one of the finest vessels to grace the ocean! It had been quite some time since I had a chance to stretch my sea legs. Rumor had spread wide and far of a fishing contest out on the deep seas. Tales of serpents the size of a small home, carrying the nets of fallen fisherman in their stomachs made me rethink the idea of heading out on my own. As I sat in wait outside of Occlo bank, a small group of fisherman wielding ragged poles and a lone tamer began to form. True to my stealthy nature, I followed them through a portal of sorts as they set out to begin their hunt. I had the opportunity at one point to steal the leaders boat key and make off with his ship but I couldn't resist the possibility of spending some time in the bosom of experienced sailors. We cut our way through the high seas with rumor of these serpent's holding true. To my luck, they were no match for this tamer and his band of beasts and they chewed through the group like butter. With daylight fading, I thanked the crew for allowing a stowaway, wished them luck in the tournament and departed their vessel!

It was a long and tiring day spent under the hot cloudless sky. We had left Moonglow Docks just as the sun rose hoping to find the elusive "Big" fish but to no avail, we dispatched many foul beasties of the sea, ran from the terrifying Kraken, were ambushed by a horde of Water Elementals who quickly dealt to me and my Archer protection. I had had enough I recruited a friendly tamer with his pet Dragon and returned to the sea. The hours dragged by, the Dragon became restless and we decided that it was time to call it a day, Just then my rod was almost bent in to, the tip was dragged deep under the boat. I put my back into the fight hoping against all hope that this was the whopper i had been hunting. eventually it broke the surface. After 15 hours on the water was it the Whopper, I'll let you decide....
